    One word; ERGONOMICS

OK, It was quick, and it rolled evenly, but a couple of problems surfaced. You had to really feather the trigger to prevent splatter, and if you forgot, you had to stop for cleanup, especially on the ceiling. I had to go back to a square roller. I could load paint and roll a room in about 20 minutes, but trying to really use it comfortably just wasn’t happening. I am in pretty excellent shape and it wore me out. Also, don’t buy the roller cleaner with this product. it doesn’t work with the power roller, but does work fantastic with a square roller

I have not used this yet but i do have a power roller and if this workes like the power roller it will be brilliant.

    Needs a longer roller extension

The roller itself works without a hitch. The lack of a longer extension for ceilings, and taller walls is a drag. After looking for a longer tube extension, found that the price for it was greatly more than the roller itself. Not!

    Very impressive high pressure sprayer

This small machine really paints the project in a rush. If you are looking to paint a large area, then the Paint Crew Sprayer is a Must Have item. I painted an eight by sixteen shed inside and out in a couple of hours. And, the coverage was terrific. An older building, raw lumber, and the high pressure sprayer did the job it would have taken days to complete with a brush, in a few hours, including cleanup. Because it is reconditioned, I paid the extra few dollars for the substitution warranty.

In a past review for the Wagner Paint Crew. I gave it 5 stars and a rave review. So I thought that the roller would be just as excellent. It did speed up the painting process, but trying to control the hose was a horror tale. The nylon tubing is so inflexible it started to hurt my wrist trying to control it. After about 10 minutes I thought I made a mistake. I wasn’t very pleased. Every-time you get to a inner corner or a molding you have to flip the roller so the roller frame doesnt scrape. This is were you have to wrestle with the hose. I know Wagner sells a swivel fitting for the hose. I will buy it, as soon as I find one.

On the other hand, it did apply the paint nicely. And there was no paint spatter or dips on the floor or me.

One other thing, I didn’t use the paint crew for some time. I cleaned it as per directions. And place it away for more than a year. So I figured It was ready to paint with. I loaded the hopper with paint and switched it on, nothing! I had to dump the paint and disassemble it. Not a huge deal when it is clean. But it is a mess when it is loaded with paint. The hopper valve was stuck shut. A slight squeeze and it was free. My advice is to disassemble it for a quick inspection after storage. It would have saved me an hour and a lot of clean up.

    Hard to use

I bought this item to aid me in painting my house on the outside. It hooks on to the sprayer by its long arm and trying to paint somthing on a ladder with this added roller requires very long arms and a person who has three hands, two to work the device and one to hang on to the ladder. Flat surface painting might be alright but in my case it was no excellent.

    Roller

I really like this roller. Once you get used to the pace of how much to “spray” into the roller at a time it’s pretty simple. I do not like that you can’t add a broom stick like you would a regular roller to paint ceilings or tall walls. You can BUY a “pole extension” from Wagner but that is more than the roller!
