worth the money
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
It was definitly worth the money. I would have spent more if I had rented a unit. It cut the painting time more than in half. That said the unit I received had a broken part. The weekend I had wanted to paint I couldn't. Tech support is only open Monday-Friday. When I called them they were great second day aired me everything I would need and the painter works great.

Excellant Buy
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I sprayed my shed today and right off the bat I was impressed at how nice this gun worked.I sprayed the whole shed in about twenty minutes. For the first time using this type of gun I didn't end up with any runs, The spray is very easy to control.I then went on to painting my house and after a while the gun did start acting up. I emptied out the paint tray washed out the whole unit and it started working just fine.I had forgot to strain the paint and had gotten the screen in the tray blocked off I also washed out the filter in the gun. It does take about forty five minutes for clean up, but that beats the time using a brush or roller. This is a great buy for the price.

AWESOME!
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I wish I had used it sooner..but, better later than never. After opening the box and looking inside, I thought, what have I gotten myself into? I remember a couple of weeks ago (from today), I took my paint sprayer outside to get used to it and read the booklet. After at least 6 hours of being dumbfounded I got out my paint brush and brush painted.
Well today I took my sprayer outside and filled it with paint. It took me awhile to get the hang of it. In a few hours this afternoon, I cannot believe how much of my house I got painted. I am so glad I bought this wonderful machine!!
I honestly don't know what everyone was complaining about when it came to cleanup. (the reviews) I emptied the hopper, scraped it out with a spatula, like someone else said to do. Got everything cleaned up I thought rather easily. Instead of paint, you're running soapy water, than clean water til everyting runs clear. Piece of cake. It really is great way to go. I am a 50 something female and I figured it out, so can you.

A great sprayer for the money
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
The refurbished Wagner Paint Crew sprayer only cost $100, and was well worth the money. I had looked at other Wagner sprayers and more commercial brands costing up to $400. I took a chance and tried the Wagner.

It worked great! I painted a 200 foot cedar fence in about 2 hours. Previously I had been brush painting it and it took about an hour for 10 feet. Now I am looking forward to the next big paint job.

Great Product
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
Great product if you take the time to prep. Cleaning unit after project is time consuming. Have to remember to THIN out paint before using (didn't realize this); If not, filter will clog almost instantaneously. Hint: water thins out latex (didn't know this either). Still haven't learned the correct ratio of paint to water.

For the do it yourselfers...
Rating:3 out of 5 stars
I own Powerpainter plus. It does work fine till it breaks usually around or after 25 gallons of paint. You can rebuild it yourself and forgo sending it of for repairs parts are easy to find to rebuild piston pump which went even though all maintenance was followed. If you are a pro DON'T EVEN THINK OF THIS MACHIENE. Buy A spraytech model instead unless you just want to use it and chuck it plus 25 feet of hose is a joke.

Love it!!!
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
Although there was a little extra prep involved, it made the job not only finish faster, but it made applying the stain very easy and helped me give my new shed a great look! I see why they call it the paint crew, I LOVE this machine! Since I was using latex paint, even the clean-up was pretty easy.

The unit was pretty obviously a refurb, but it was in very good shape and for half the price of a new one, who cares! Thanks again Amazon.

UPDATE: Also used this to stain the new deck this summer, still going strong. This was truly a GREAT BUY. Don't pass it up.

Great Tool
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I have rented professional airless sprayers in the past. The Paint Crew worked equally well. 25 feet of hose is marginal for a big two story house. I had to move the unit almost every time I moved the ladder. Adding a swivel adapter helped with the problems of the stiff hose. After 5 hours and 8 gallons of use I had to clean the intake filter. The viscosity of the paint is critical to an even spray pattern. The unit does not have a pressure adjustment so viscosity is the regulator. I uas using a heavy body paint and added one cup of Flotrol and one cup of water per gallon for stucco. For Wood I added two cups of flotrol per gallon. ( It was a hot day.) Clean up: Wipe the pan clean; purge the pump; added a quart of water to the pan, purge the pump; Do it again: Add a quater of water again and spray it through the hose and gun. Keep doing this until the water is clear. Clean the gun. Oil pump and gun per instructions. Takes 30 min.

Wagner 770 Reconditioned
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I bought this unit to spray the walls and ceiling of a new garage I built, about 1000 square feet. I had no problem setting it up and it sprayed great. A nice pattern with the supplied 413 tip while spraying latex. A little overspray so use dropcloths. The tip clogged once but I turned it around and cleared it quickly. I sprayed 7 gallons of latex in 2 hours and completed the job saving me at least 15 hours using a roller and brush. A real time saver and the results were very nice. I am soooo glad I bought this unit. The cleanup took about 35 minutes. Let the pump push as much paint out of the bin using the ciculation tube pointed back into the paint bucket. Then wipe as much paint out of the bin as possible to speed the cleaning process. The rest is a breeze with very warm soapy water.

wagner paint plus
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I borrowed my neighbors paint plus this fall to paint my shed. I was so impressed with it, that I bought one from amazon that is reconditioned. Upon inspection of the unit, everthing seems like new on it, a few left over paint specks but they cleaned up easily. I have'nt tried the unit because of the winter season, but planned to paint my house with it this spring.

Most paint on unintended targets.
Rating:1 out of 5 stars
We purchased this reconditioned sprayer to paint the ceiling in our family room. Unfortunately paint flowed from where the handle and hose connect. Then we purchased a brand new unit from a local store and the paint dripped excessively from the end of the gun. Perhaps it is not intended for vertical applications. Maybe if we had purchased a non-reconditioned unit to use for horizontal spraying our experience would have been better.

Decent Sprayer, but drips
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
At first the sprayer didn't spray, but after cleaning the filter, it worked great. The only problem is I haven't figured out how to keep the paint from dripping. I laid kitchen cabinets on the ground to spray, and every once in a while a drop of paint fell.
The cleaning is relatively simple.

Great value
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
Aside from a tiny spot of dried paint here and there in the crevices of the paint tray, you'd never know this product was not new. Works perfectly and at half the price of a new unit, it's hard to beat.

Great Value And A Powerful Tool
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
The reconditioned model is a great value for this tool. We own the Power Roller also, and together they make painting very fast and professional looking. The downside of the sprayer is that the user needs to practice and become comfortable with it before tackling a real wall -- otherwise, the paint may end up in places that aren't wanted! Cleanup on this tool is similar to the Power Roller -- you need to attend to it promptly and fully to avoid destruction of the unit. Wagner's instruction manual is excellent, and answers almost any question you're likely to have.

Worked well but....
Rating:3 out of 5 stars
My spray gun came with broken handle and appered heavly used but worked well.( Idecide not to play shipping game). This gun would be good for outdoor projects or new construction .After spraying my room I found everything inside to be covered in paint dust.Taping ,clean up and cleaning gun made this a longer process than old fasion roller painting.Have fun with your project and remember to protect everything around working area from paint dust.

great sprayer
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I love it and was worth every penny. As long as you take the time to clean it properly, it works great. Painting time is cut in half.

Non functioning
Rating:1 out of 5 stars
I have used this product before and it works great. Be careful of reconditioned units. I purchased a factory reconditioned unit and the pump pistion seized the first few minutes of operation.

Does what it made to do.
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
In short, it does what its bought to do, and it does it well. I bought the reconditioned cause I'm a cheapo, but it arrived in terrific condition. And I'm glad I saved myself the extra $99. There are only 2 little problems. 1. You do have to reprime the machine every so often, (usually when paint gets low, but it only takes about a minute or less). and 2. Cleaning it is very important. It isn't hard to clean, its just tedious work. But I am very glad I purchased it and do recommend this to anyone looking to save time and get a professional result.

Paint Sprayer Review
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
Have used the sprayer twice since purchase, used exterior stain and worked very well. Using paint very soon. Also I was very impressed with the shipping. When I order I was told that it would not ship until sometime in June. Low and behold I received the item much sooner. Have purchased a few items from Amazon and have been very pleased with everything that I have purchased.

Soooo happy I got this!
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
We have an addition to our home, another 625 sf. With some 12 ft high ceilings. I rolled the primer on the ceiling in one room which took quite awhile since my arms and shoulders got so painful. The thought of doing the rest just kept me from getting it done. First primer since its new wallboard, then painting the color! This sprayer has been just wonderful. Spraying means more masking off everything but the time was cut to nothing! I couldn't imagine having to do all the work without it. It runs just as new, you could barely see any evidence that it had been refurbished. I love it, it makes me much more motivated to conquer the outside of the house! Well worth the price!

Very good sprayer; tedious cleanup
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
Highly recommended sprayer. The sprayer, once you get it going, is very good at distributing paint evenly and quickly. The organization of the Owner's Manual, however, is another matter. The Owner's Manual is hard to follow. The cleanup procedure, as described in the manual, is tedious but necessary if you want the sprayer to work next time you need it. Make sure you follow all the cleanup steps including the oil in the Inlet/Outlet Valves. After a couple of iterations you get the hang of the process and everything goes much more smoothly. A rewrite of the manual would make this an excellent product.

Need a reason to make your life miserable?
Rating:1 out of 5 stars
If your life is humming along and you are pretty happy but feel you have no right to be, then buy this paint sprayer. Believe me that happiness will go right out the window every time you try to use it. It had more clogs than the 100 year old drains in my house. The sprayer clogs, the primer clogs and the hose is too stiff. It takes as long to clean the thing as it does to do the painting. So be prepared to stop your painting and start cleaning 2 hours before you get tired. I returned mine to Amazon-they are great about taking things back that don't work. Save yourself the trouble and don't buy it in the first place.

Reconditioned Wagner 0515000T Spray Tech 2,750 PSI Paint Crew Sprayer
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
We decided to purchase this sprayer while finishing our basement but also wanted to be able to stain our house w/o having to dilute the stain. This sprayer is awesome!! And, we felt it was easy to use! I cannot believe the amount of time it saved us to primer & paint. We just practiced on scrap wood before using on our walls, which worked well. We do recommend wearing a resp. mask while using due to the free floating mist. Clean up was easy, it just takes a little bit of time. Just follow the directions provided in the user manual. However, I'm sure w/ future uses, this process will become a little faster each time. So far, the recondition unit works beautifully! Completely worth it for us!

Good product, takes a little practice
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
I used this to paint a 2 story house and found it really saves time. It takes a little practice to get the hang of it and apply an even coat. Usually it's best to keep a brush with you to take care of any drips or get into tight spots. It does take a while to clean but if you clean it well it will work sight the next time. Overall it's a good product for a homeowner I'd recomend it.

Great Buy!
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I put this item to work today, coating 4x8 sheets of malabu for soffits and about half our horse barn. In about 2 hours I did a job that would have taken all day without the Wagner. The sprayer worked perfectly and was no problem to clean-up afterwards. I agree with another writer, a swivel on the gun side of the supply hose is a must-have, and would make use of the sprayer that much easier. Well worth the money and recommended for anyone and everyone that has log structures on their property. You're gonna be caulking and coating logs for the rest of your life, this makes it alot easier.

Review of Seller Northern Tools , Not Product!
Rating:1 out of 5 stars
If you order this from Northern Tools be careful. I ordered and received an email notice that estimated delivery date would be 7 days. I rented scaffolding for the week of the est. delivery for painting the exterior of my house, which was a bad idea. After 1 month of patiently waiting and still no product, I called Northern Tools and was told that product was not in stock and told me should be in any day. Another 2 weeks went by and received an email that my order was canceled because they could not get the unit in stock.
Horrible customer service. Would have been nice if they would have called and explained the problems with my order.

zero star design
Rating:1 out of 5 stars
If zero stars would be an option to express the appreciation for a product, this spray painter would be a prime candidate. What a deficient design. Unit plugs up about every time you use it. After the 3rd time the intake valve seized. It is a major effort to clean out the unit when these things go wrong, and after you had a successful paint session. Stay away from it.

Worked well, died quickly
Rating:2 out of 5 stars
Purchased the refurbished Wagner Paint Crew sprayer from Amazon 8 months ago and just got a task to use it on. Sprayer worked well and did a great job at increasing the speed and quality of my home-improvement painting. Unfortunately I had 2 problems with the sprayer: 1) During the first cleaning I discovered that during refurbishing they did not replace the gun filter and it was completely clogged from the previous owner, 2) The unit died after the 3rd use. The pressure activated microswitch burned out. Cannot comment on performance of new units but based on my experience I would not recommend getting a refurbished one.

good for beginner
Rating:3 out of 5 stars
This is a good airless sprayer if its your first time using this kind of tool. I bought this reconditioned and it worked perfect the first time. It is a task to clean about 30 minutes or so if you follow the instructions. I used it again a week later and i noticed that it was losing pressure when i painted a shed that was 7 by 10 feet and it only took about 30 minutes, not incuding the time i waited for the first coat to dry. I will be using it again in about a month or so and hopefully it will work. If not i will be looking for another airless sprayer of better durability.

More than happy!
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
The unit I received was spotless. I used the paint sprayer with thick, latex paint. Did not dilute and never had a problem with blockage. I had to dilute the same paint when I used a proffessional grade airless sprayer.

Cleaning was no different than professional units I had used in the past. Follow the cleaning directions listed in the reviews and life will be good!

Do this on your 2nd use...
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I thought I clean this thoroughly after using it the first time. It was awesome using this machine to paint. The clean up was a bit messy, but well worth it for big jobs (3 rooms or more)

Cleaning the machine: After you are done priming the machine with water, make sure you tilt it up right to drain all remaining fluid. Don't let fluid sit inside the valves. It might be a good idea to prime again with water the next day to make sure it is working before you put it away for storage.

On your second use of the machine (days/months later), try to use water to prime first. I had to find out the hard way that it was stuck after I poured the paint in already. It wasn't priming or spraying. After cleaning the paint off the sprayer, I had to take the front valve and tank valve out to clean it. After everything was cleaned, I was able to prime/spray with water. The machine is ready to go!

Reconditioned wager...not so reconditioned
Rating:1 out of 5 stars
Purchased a reconditioned wagner, for a great price. Got the unit, and took it out of the box. All in all, looked in excellent shape. Went to use it, and paint started coming out of the nozzle everywhere. Seems to have a broken seal somewhere, sent it back.

Very Good Sprayer
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I just bought and used this sprayer and the thing worked perfectly. For the price I paid ($108) I feel it was an excellent deal. Amazon said the shipping would take 5-7 days, but actually only took 2!! I was a bit nervous about using b/c I read a couple of bad reviews but I was very pleased. It sprayes heavy enough that you dont even need 2 coats on your exterior (I used Valspar, great paint $19per gallon after rebate). It taked longer to move the ladders than to spray. If I had a helper and another ladder I could have easily sprayed a side of my house in 10 min or less, thats how fast this thing goes. You can spray and then do something else for an hour or so and itll still spray just as good. The manual says for overnight storage to 'pour 1/2 cups of water on top of the paint in the hopper and to wrap the gun in a damp cloth then tie it up in plastic bag'.....I was a bit nervous about that but again worked perfect the next morning. People complain about the clean up taking too long but what do you expect if you leave pain globs of paint in the unit. Just keep running water through the unit untill it all comes out clear. Took me about an hour but I was very careful. I've seen other sprayer selling for $300 and up and cant imagine that they spray any better than this $100 unit. Highly recommend it!

Amazing machine
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
The reconditioned Wagner Paint Crew Sprayer arrived looking nearly new with only a few pieces of old latex paint stuck to it. I followed recommendations that i found in other Amazon reviews and the unit performed perfectly from the first line that i sprayed on my house exterior to the last pull on the trigger. In 7 hours it handled 5 gallons of 100% acrylic premium exterior paint without one single missfire.
when work was stopped for masking windows etc. or for lunch I put the paint spray head in a bucket of water and when i returned to painting it sprayed perfectly from the first pull. It put out enough volume that one could paint an entire house in one day if the masking were done ahead of time.
The only negative I found was that you do need to put the unit on a cart or in a wheelbarrow to move it around when painting a house exterior. It just is not practical to lift the whole thing and the hose with paint in it.

Works hard for a while.
Rating:3 out of 5 stars
I purchased this paint sprayer to paint my fence and later my garage. It initially worked well on the fence, then stopped working midway though. It started working again mysteriously so I thought nothing of it. Six months later I used it paint the sealing of my garage with no problems. However, the third time I went to use it, the machine died as I was applying a clear coat to my garage floor. I got my money's worth, but next time I need a sprayer, I will spend a little more and go to COSTCO.

Better than I expected
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
I bought this reconditioned sprayer and it worked better than I expected. The paint was very thick 1-coat trim paint that's about as thick as runny grits: it sprayed just fine. We painted the underside of an exposed roof (porch). Rafters, sheething, nails, and all. Would have taken forever with a brush, took maybe 15 minutes with the sprayer. Did take a while to clean. The lack of a swivel connection on the hose is why 4 stars instead of 5. I am not sorry I bought this product. Wagner has a great how-to video that you ought to watch before using.

Easy as pie to use.
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I painted my house with a high quality exterior latex. The paint was about as thick as pudding. I set up my power sprayer per the instructions, tightened the connections with a wrench, as suggested by other users, added some Wagner paint conditioner I picked up at Walmart (cheap!) and ZAP, my son and I had our two story house painted in about 3 hours. I did find that the tank must be kept full to prevent air being sucked into the paint (you cannot use this for a quart of paint applications, you will be sucking air immediately). Once you suck air and fill the tank, purge and go again. The sprayer had a great pattern, smooth coverage. As for clean up, I followed another recommendation of having a spatula handy. Washed the tank with water, sprayed until clear, then put a solution of Simple Green, purged for about 5 minutes, then sprayed solution into a bucket, then filled with clear water and repeated the purge and spray process. It was not hard at all if you have a little patience.
Some of the negative reports may be users trying to use this for small quantities of paint for small jobs. When the unit is low on paint (maybe a quart in the tank) it would appear not to be empty but with thick paint, it will suck air and will result to no high pressure for the sprayer.

Service, what service
Rating:1 out of 5 stars
I hope to get the chance to re-write this review, but I purchased a Reconditioned unit about 4 months ago. The first time I used it, it bled paint down my arm - bad seal in the trigger mechanism. But I liked the spraying that I was able to do. So I drove it down to the Wagner service center - - and here I sit, six weeks later, still with no gun. Guess I shouldn't have done all of that sanding on the patio (still raw wood). I've been told that they are going to replace my gun with another reconditioned unit, and I should have it in a week or two. So if you do purchase one of these, I hope you never have to have it serviced.

Works great.
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
Four stars because I have no experience with any sprayers and don't know if the easily fixed problems are usual.

Read all the reviews and went for it. There were a couple of paint spots on the equipment but totally worth the reconditioned discount and far cleaner than when I was done cleaning it. As recommended I bought the swivel and installed it before the first time I used it.

I have never used a sprayer before and started off painting two doors with semi-gloss water base. My first side was almost perfect. My second side was much worse, but all because of me. I re-sanded and re-sprayed and that was all it took to be happy with the application.

Poured water on top of the reservoir and stuck the sprayer in a bag with a damp cloth, four hours later a little mixing and all was good. A few test sprays and cleansing sprays before starting made things as good as new. The instructions say you can wait up to 16 hours which is more than enough time to let things dry and do another coat.

Clean up does take a bit of time, but no longer than if you want to reuse a brush or roller.

I was a slightly hesitant buyer and am a completely happy buyer.
